Improve Your Game With A TaylorMade r7 Driver

TaylorMade r7 CGB Max Driver
Another great club from the TaylorMade r7 driver range
CGB stands for central gravity back. This club has been on the market since 2008. The club is designed to be fairly lightweight with a triangular shape head. Specifically designed to move the CG (centre of gravity) back from the club face more than usual which is designed to help launch the ball long and high.
The new dark red colour that dominates the head gives it that contemporary look, not exactly top of your priority list but a bonus nonetheless. Available in 9.5 and 10.5 lofts and a higher trajectory 12 degrees and all available in left and right hand.460cc sized club-head with a very high MOI (moment of inertia).
Fitted with a light 45 gram shaft which makes swinging easier, some golfers may not like this and it may take some getting used to.
Definitely the most impressive thing about this club, like a lot of the TaylorMade r7 driver range, is the moveable weight technology. One sixteen gram weight and two one gram weight come as standard. You can re-position these weights in the club-head to custom make your launch condition from a slight fade to a large draw. Up to 35 yards trajectory side to side. There is a huge difference the weights make when moved around, mainly on accuracy but distance can also be improved. As each golfer is different, it is a case of trial and error to find your own perfect launch condition but as a rough guide we did some research and this was the most common response- to add distance in keeping the same ball flight feedback shows that increasing the two outer weights evenly by 2-4 grams each for slow to average swing speeds and 6-8 grams for average to fast swing speeds.
Outstanding forgiveness on off-centre hits so is ideal for amateur players as well as pros.
How to tell the difference between a genuine and counterfeit TaylorMade r7 driver. Check the weights of the weight technology cartridges by removing from the club-head using the appropriate tool check that the cartridges are made of solid metal, counterfeit are usually plastic and place on a set of digital scales. Some 16 gram weights have been known to weigh as little as 5 grams. Some other more obvious ways to tell are loft size, the colouring can be different, the shape of the club-head. Also check for serial numbers on the club.
