2 Easy Swing Tips For More Power And Accuracy With Your Driver Than You Ever Thought Possible

If you love to play golf you know that to get the most enjoyment from the game, hitting the ball in the fairway, being on the green and putting for eagle, birdie or par is fun!
As golfers go, we all want to hit the ball with more power and accuracy right?
Think about being deep in the fairway, hitting wedge or sand wedge on your approach shots, being on the green and putting for eagle or birdie on every hole, How fun would that be!
Ok, maybe not every hole, but how about 60-75% of the holes, that would be super fun right, and would that lead to you shooting better scores? Of course it would, so read on for 2 free tips to begin bombing it down the fairway and being in eagle range!
I was watching the ReMax Long Drive championships a while back and was amazed at how far some of those guys could hit the ball. Drives of 350-375 to 400 yards were common place, in fact when a big drive was hit, it looked like they didn't even swing hard, it was a smooth swing in perfect balance.
There is a science behind getting maximum power from your golf swing and applying it to the golf ball. This science is buried deep within the laws of physics and the fundamentals of the golf swing. So here are 2 tips i use to help players at my club improve driving distance, and I hope they help you to.
1. Your Right shoulder must be lower than your Left (For a right hand player)
In order to bomb it down the fairway with your driver you must "sweep" the ball off the tee with an "ascending" strike on the golf ball. To do this your driver set up must allow for your right shoulder to be slightly lower than your lead or left shoulder. To feel this set up take your stance with your driver, place your right hand at the very lowest part of the grip. Feel how that makes your right shoulder fall a little lower than your left? This shoulder tilt is critical to hit a big drive and makes using an "ascending" blow automatic. Now take your stance with the driver, take your normal grip and keep your right should lower using the same feeling you had when you your right hand so low on the grip before. Now you can turn it loose because your shoulders are in the correct plane to blast a drive deep down the fairway.
2. You MUST have an athletic and balanced stance-
In order to apply the most power you can to the Golf ball your stance needs to be strong and stable. Think about it, your club swings around your body, if you're moving about while you swing the club you'll never make the solid contact you need for a big drive.
Do this, take your normal driver stance, now try to lift your toes off the ground, if you can't you have too much forward tilt and your weight is too far out front. Your weight MUST be centered on your feet in order for you to be in perfect balance. Take your stance again this time lift your toes off the ground, feel how your weight is more centered on your feet. This is the "Centered" feeling you need for the right balance in your golf swing.
Now you're ready to unleash monster drives that will leave your playing partners open mouthed and wide eyed on the course and reaching for their wallets at the 19th hole!
